Sydney Austin
I am currently a fourth year Honours BA Psychology student in the research specialist stream at Wilfrid Laurier University. I joined the IMPETuS Lab as a research assistant in 2022, and became lab manager in 2023. My research interests include social cognition, autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities, anxiety and motor outcomes, as well as areas of abnormal psychology surrounding symptom management and treatment. After completion of my fourth year and undergraduate honours thesis, my goal is to pursue graduate studies in clincal psychology.

Autumn Brambell
I am a third year Honours BA Psychology student in the research specialist stream here at Wilfrid Laurier. I am super excited to have the opportunity to join the IMPETuS lab this year as a research assistant! My main research interests involve abnormal psychology and the study of disorders and therapy methods. As well, I enjoy anthropology and its connections to psychology via the impacts of cultural identities on our individual social identities. I hope to further my education after my time at Laurier and go into counselling or clinical psychology.
Adira Davis
I am a third year Honours BA Psychology student at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am so excited to be a part of the 2021-2022 IMPETUS Lab team as a Research Assistant. I hope to expand on my knowledge of psychology as a discipline as well as some research processes. My interests in psychology are focussed on personality development and influences, specifically environmental factors. Additionally, I am fascinated by forms of therapy and areas such as psychotherapy and treatments of disorders in the mental-health realm. One of my main goals for my career is to become a clinical psychologist for children.
Grace Van Hooydonk
I am a fourth-year research specialist psychology student at Wilfrid Laurier University, with a minor in human relations. I am super excited to join the IMPETuS lab team for the 2023-2024 school year! My psychology and research interests include abnormal psychology and personality disorders, specifically in children, as well as attachment theory and close relationships. In the future, I hope to pursue my education in clinical psychology and eventually become a registered clinical psychologist. I am super excited to be able to expand my current research knowledge and continue to learn more about the research process through this lab.
Ahmed Hantoush
I am currently a second-year Health Sciences student at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am honored to be joining Dr.Wilson’s lab for the 2022-2023 academic year. I am passionate about all things health and wellness and have immense respect for the thankless work that researchers do to expand the borders of human knowledge. I am hoping to learn more about research while exploring different career pathways.
Daniella Rinaldo
I am a fourth year Honours BA Psychology student in the research specialist stream at Wilfrid Laurier University, and am thrilled to have joined with IMPETuS lab in 2021. My research interests surround close relationships, self-esteem, mental health and well-being. As I begin my undergraduate thesis, I look forward to exploring these avenues further, and hope to continue pursuing studies in the field of clinical psychology.
